Tropical Fruit Farm Penang

Overview

Nestled 800 feet above sea level in the lush hills of Teluk Bahang, Penang Tropical Fruit Farm is home to South East Asia’s largest collection of edible fruits. Spanning 25 acres in the northwest of Penang, this vibrant orchard showcases over 200 species of tropical and sub-tropical fruit trees sourced from across Malaysia and far-flung regions like Central America, Africa, India, the Middle East, and the Pacific Islands.

Established in 1993, the farm was founded with a mission to conserve rare and exotic fruit trees, educate both locals and international visitors about Malaysia’s rich botanical heritage, and contribute meaningfully to eco and agro-tourism. Sustainability is at the heart of the farm’s operations, with organic fertilisers some made from recycled fruit waste that used to nurture the land, and chemicals applied only when absolutely necessary.

Visitors can explore the orchard through guided tours that include fruit tastings of at least 15 varieties, along with light snacks, fresh juices, and a specially curated buffet for pre-booked groups. It’s an immersive experience that blends nature, education, and indulgence.

Book your Penang Tropical Fruit Farm tour today and dive into a day of discovery that promises not only flavour and fun, but also lasting memories for everyone.
